When I first set up this website, I almost completely forgot that people would actually be reading my work. Real. Human. Beings.
I still find it strange now, as before I started publishing my writing, it was for my eyes only.
Having said that, I was unbelievably overwhelmed by the response to my sister and I’s “20 Quotes To Get You Through Your Twenties” post, so I have decided to whip this one up.
At the end of 2013, I became so ridiculously frustrated with the amount of quotes that I was failing to remember. Ultimately, these were all quotes that had made an incredible impact on me and the way I live my life.
This was until I received a gorgeous navy journal for Christmas from my friends at work.
I want to warn any aspiring writer that as soon as your family and friends find out that this is what you want to do, you can cue receiving large amounts of notebooks, journals and writing sets for any celebration that amounts to you receiving a gift (Not that I am complaining, keep the presents coming guys.)
In this particular case, I carried my journal everywhere with me and used it to note every quote that I couldn’t possibly let pass me by.
I recommend that everyone does this until your journal is full to the brim. You have no idea how amazing it is when you are going through a tough time and discover all the inspiration, advice and textual slaps to help snap you out of your rut, wrapped up in one lovely, papery bundle.
My reason for telling you this is because that exact navy journal was where I found the 11 Quotes To Help You Love Yourself A Little Bit More. So here you are:
