What’s In My Bag?

I’ve been feeling really inspired to put up more content recently and as I flung my bag onto my bed, I realised that it had been a while since I had done a “What’s In My Bag?” post.

During quite a relaxed evening the other day, I decided to pull out my camera and take a few snaps of what I carry with me on a day to day basis. Enjoy.

In the last “What’s in my bag” post, which you can read here, I discussed my love for a good old fashioned canvas tote. I have to say, not much has changed.

I picked this one up in the sale at The White Company. What I love about this particular bag is that is it in conjunction with the White Heart Foundation which works towards helping vulnerable women and children build a brighter future.

Let’s get the essentials out of the way. I like to keep a separate card wallet and coin purse as an alternative to a bulkier purse. I just find that streamlined pieces over chunkier wallets aid me in being slightly less messy and a bit more organised when it comes to my bag. Otherwise there would be a tower of receipts dating from 700 years ago.

I picked up this little iridescent card wallet in the sale whilst browsing in Accessorize. The navy coin pouch was a gift from sister which she bought from Longchamp whilst in Paris.

And obviously, I’m still kicking it old school with my gold iPhone 5s.

I don’t carry make up in my bag with me because I’m never really that arsed. I find that using a setting spray sets me up for the day. However no one wants to be a stinky sod so I carry a little Marks and Spencer’s Aloe Vera roll-on.

As well as this, I carry Yardley’s “English Lavender Cologne Stick” because I find the scent so comforting. When I’m feeling anxious, calming scents really make a difference. I know a lot of people hate the smell of lavender but the scent isn’t so strong, it reminds me of Johnsons baby shampoo.

I’m also finding that with the weather in England (ever so slightly) warming up, my skin is feeling really dehydrated. I have tried so many moisturises but nothing seems to work as well as the good old Nivea Soft stuff.

These should have gone in the “essentials section” because without these boys I’d hardly be able to see. In all honesty, I don’t wear them half as much as I should but always have them with me just in case I need them.

Both pairs are Ray Ban and both pairs are courtesy of my sister. My glasses are old aviator frames and the sunglasses just so happened to have ended up in my bag without ever returning to their rightful owner. Sorry mate.

I’m getting back into journaling hence the little Topshop notebook. The pen is from the Harry Potter shop in Kings Cross and it writes like a beauty.

I also love to have a book to hand. “The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a Fuck” by Sarah Knight is my current read and yes, it is worth the hype and definitely as good as it sounds.

Obviously, earphones have to feature. What can I say? It’s just a must.

As well as all this, I’m starting to carry a bottle of water around with me, mostly because I love it. It’s from Urban Outfitters.
