“I’d much rather hang out in a café. That’s where things are really happening.” – Joe Sacco
It’s bladdy boiling in Oxfordshire today so naturally and in true Henna style, I’m sat drinking a herbal tea.
Let me talk to you a little bit here guys. As a true Northerner, it is my duty to support any establishment that serves tea to the good people of this country. Plus, I just really frickin’ love tea mate. With that in mind, it only makes sense that I adore a good café.
Recently, I have also been dwelling on the importance of discovering new places which when you live in a small town, can often seem like quite the challenge.
When I was a nipper, I wasn’t really aware of how stumbling across the new played an essential role in helping me inject a bit of zest into life. I was probably too busy hunting for bugs. You don’t really need to care at that age though do you? everything is new. But I crave that now I’m older.
I am easily inspired by the smallest of things and that’s how we come onto the topic of today’s post. A little café called By The Fire. And yes, it is a cute as it sounds.
I have walked past this place a bazillion times and for some reason, last week was the time that I was finally going to step inside.
I thought that I’d share a few of the snaps that I took whilst I was there because It was just beaut. So beaut in fact, that I even had to leave them a little note.
If you are ever in the Banbury area then By The Fire is most definitely worth the visit.
You can find them at: Calthorpe St, Banbury OX16
I hope that you enjoyed today post and have all had a good Monday people!
