I am loving so much at the minute and rather than curate a post the size of the yellow pages, I thought it would be quite nice to turn it into a week long feature.

The first thing that I really wanted to talk about was my love for magazines with substance.

I gave up reading magazines quite a while back now. Well, as soon as I became mature enough to understand that the ones that I was purchasing were not only doing nothing for my self esteem, but were also a waste of money.

It has taken me a while to find any that cater to what interests me. I know that fashion magazines dominate the shelves but the thought of buying something that consisted of so many advertisements wasn’t something that appealed to me.

I have to say though, recently I have really been enjoying the selection available and wanted to talk you through a few of my favourites.

Breathe

I only just recently discovered “Breathe”. What I really love about it is how much the publication encourages its readers to engage on a whole number of different levels. Whether it is list making, art projects or simply the thought provoking content, it is definitely worth checking out.

Some of my favourite articles that have been featured are “The Art of Taking a Bath”, “Overcoming Creative Block” and “Steps To Stop Self-Sabotage”. That’s just to name a few.

There are so many reasons to love “Breathe”. It is practical, useful and anything that promotes a peaceful lifestyle has my support.

Oh Comely

One of the great things about “Oh Comely” and I suppose all of the magazines that I am talking about in this post, is that they are not just a pretty face.

I really loved the fact that each issue of “Oh Comely” has a specific theme. For example, the last two that I have purchased have focused on the topics of “Strength” and the concept of being “Awake”.

They speak to a number of incredibly talented voices in an array of engaging interviews that really give you food for thought. Definitely worth checking out.

The Gentlewoman

This is the magazine I reach for when I want to get my fashion fix but I have to say, its not all pretty jackets and lust worthy shoes.

All of the magazines that I have chosen to talk about have one thing in common. They feature really interesting content. It is definitely a great place to start if you are looking to start a collection or just simply want to get back into reading magazines again.

Kinfolk

As much as I hate to sat it, Kinfolk is probably most recognised as a magazine used by hipsters in Instagram flat lays. It is so much more than that though!

Firstly, the quality is pretty hard to ignore. Not only is the photography gorgeous but the content is of a nature that allows you to refer back to it no matter how old. And I suppose that is what you get as a result of forking out a little bit more money than usual.

Similarly to the others, this magazine is intelligently written and the fact that it is only published four times a year really allows you to get the most out of each publication between issues.

So, they were the main ones that I have been loving at the minute and I hope that this post was useful for anyone that is in the same boat as I was in regards to their opinions on magazines.

As always, thank you so much for reading and I will see you at the same time tomorrow!
