*Rolls eyes* I know, I know. Basket bags are everywhere at the minute but can you blame me for featuring them on the blog?
They are timeless, classically chic and just synonymous with this time of year, aren’t they? I really wanted to get my hands on one so have been patient for a while now as I hunt out the perfect one for me.
I have discovered that charity/vintage shops are the place to go if you’re looking for something a little more individual at a reasonable price. I have to admit, whilst on my search for the perfect little basket I became impatient and was so close to spending quite a bit of money for one on Etsy but as it turned out, I really didn’t need to.
I managed to find two that I absolutely loved. The first bag is a more classic style with simple brown straps. I picked it up for £1.99 at The Katherine House Hospice charity shop. One bloody ninety nine! I know. Just call me the thrifting queen.
The second one was very slightly more unusual with gold piping and a metallic gold strap to match.
You know when you’re thrifting and you spot something that is exactly what you’ve been looking for and it’s as though all of your dreams have come true and that life is beautiful? Yea, that’s what I felt when I spotted these beauties.
If you really want to get your hands on one of these then definitely check out your local vintage or charity shop first because you might just find yourself something really really special.
