Happy Monday peeps. Stress affects us all in different ways but the main one for me, is in the skin department.
I don’t know whether it’s because I’m feeling overwhelmed, hormonal or am just simply tired but at the minute, my skin has not been wanting to play ball. That means only one thing, getting out the three trusty products that help get my skin back on the road to being as healthy as possible.
Skin oils are a great way to get moisture into your skin quickly and effectively. Rose hip oil in particular is well known for its restorative, nourishing and moisturising properties which makes it great for irritated skin. It fights against dry skin, dehydrated skin and also reduces the appearance of scars. Honestly, It almost feels little a little skin miracle in a bottle.
I feel that there is this assumption that skin oils are super greasy but if you pick up the right ones, that can be easily avoided. I like to apply mine just before bed so that way, my skin is refreshed the next morning and I’m ready to tackle the day.
I picked up this little bottle of rose hip oil in TK Maxx for £4.99 and I can confidently say that I would repurchase it again and again. It comes with a pipette and you simply start with one drop to moisturise the skin, neck and body. You can add more drops as you go.
If your looking for something soothing for the skin that replenishes and restores, this is perfect.
Ok, so I’m featuring another skin oil but hear me out. What I really loved about the “Skin Deep Beauty oil” by This Works was that it is not only highly concentrated, but also works on elevating your mood too. Bergamot is known for it’s mood-enhancing benefits and this product really does work for me.
Although when we’re feeling stressed we want to use products to help our skin, I think it’s just as important to work on our moods as well because after all, that can be what’s causing the problem.
This product comes as a roller ball and I like to apply it to my face and pulse points as a mood boosting hydrator. It’s perfect for on the go.
I don’t know, maybe some people might find this odd but I swear by using Sudocrem on my skin when it is sore, irritated and just all round bleh. It works by forming a barrier that protects against irritants and helps to maintain healthy skin.
If you’re anything like me and simply want products that do what it says on the bottle, then this one is for you.
Also, it comes in a squeezy tube now so you don’t have to worry about getting you’re fingers all up in its grill. Good call Sudocrem.
Let me know what your favourites are for tackling stressed skin. I’d love some recommendations.
