Ey up you lot, how’s it going? I’ve noticed some newbies click the follow button recently and thought it might be nice to tell you a little bit more about me and my blog.
If you’ve been following me for a while, I thought that I’d discuss a few parts of my blogging outlook that I haven’t touched upon before. Buckle in and let’s start.
Hi (lol) I’m Henna, the creator of Henna Writes.
Henna Writes is a space on the net for that kid in class that worries about going into school because their mate won’t be in that day. Come and hang out with us buddy.
It’s a space for that 30 year old that is not quite sure whether they are functioning like a “proper adult” and it’s a space for that legend that listens to the extended version of Insomnia by Faithless without skipping it to the end because they know that you have to earn the bass drop.
It’s a space for that person who worries that they won’t be successful because they don’t look a certain way and it’s a space for that person who doesn’t want to talk to people when they are feeling low because they’re worried about coming across as a bit of a drag.
It’s a space for those of us who don’t really know what we’re doing in life. Welcome to the club champs.
I always find it difficult to talk about myself but I’ll give it a good go.
As a 26 year old person of colour with OCD and a level of anxiety that would make even Fear from inside out look calm, I’m trying to work out how to do life, and how to do it as well as I can.
There are soooo many bloggers out there and when you haven’t discovered anyone that represents you, it can feel as though your story might not matter. I’ve felt like that before and it’s just pure shite.
I do have to say though, we are really lucky because there are a lot of bloggers out there these days making people feel comfortable in their own skin and it’s so lovely to see. Having said that, there can never be enough positivity out there, can there?
I talk about everything on here really. Anything from lifestyle bits to outfit posts and as a mental health sufferer, I like to touch upon that too.
Although on some days I like to talk about the lighter fluffy stuff, the more I blog the more I realise the type of blogger that I want to become.
I love reading through all of your comments and chatting to you all so don’t feel as though you can’t!
Thank you for taking the time to read today’s post guys.
It’s good to have you on board. Stay cool.
