The Little Hand Cream Guide.

Hand cream is one of those things that I very rarely buy for myself. If I’m being completely truthful, I’m not very good at remembering to keep my hands moisturised because I’m quite lucky in the sense that my hands never really get that dry.

I do have to say though, as I’m getting older I want to make sure that I’m taking better care of my skin. I grew up regularly watching my mum work through her skincare routine and If I can have skin that is even a fraction as amazing as hers is, I’ll be chuffed.

If you find yourself in a similar position, this is a post for you. I’m chatting through my personal favourites so if you’re looking to treat yourself or just want some ideas to add to you Christmas list, you should stick around for a little bit of inspo.

‘Bee Lovely To Your Hands’ Hand Cream by Neal’s Yard Remedies

“Moisturising Organic Honey is blended with energising Orange Essential Oil to nourish the skin and lift the spirits.”

If a product is Orange scented, I am instantly sold. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I just find it so refreshing.

What I really loved about the ‘Bee Lovely’ range  by Neal’s Yard is that 3% of the sales go to bee-friendly charities. So you can keep yourself pampered whilst doing your bit.

Super Restorative Hand Cream by Clarins

“The idealu skin care for beautiful hands that do not show your age, or the harmful effects of harsh environmental influences”

The consistency of this hand cream was the thing that really won me over. The formula is rich and it feels really luxurious to use.

It has a subtle scent that lasts quite a long time too. If you’re looking for something that visibly improves skin’s density and tone, reduces the look of age spots all while strengthening  your nails, this may be the one for you.

Cow Pat And Cow Slip By Cowshed

“This softening hand cream restores suppleness and moisture to your hands.”

I wanted to feature these because I know that a lot of people prefer light and fresh feeling moisturisers. These creams by Cowshed are most certainly that.

Personally, I think that the scents of these are very love/hate but having said that, I happen to really love them. They also have a unisex appeal which is great.

Cow Pat includes Shea and Cocoa Butters to nourish the skin as well as Grapefruit Oil and Coriander Oil to help kick start circulation.

Cow Slip on the other hand includes Orange Oil and Peppermint Oil which are famed for their anti-septic qualities. The Shea and Cocoa Butters also help to insure that hardworking hands feel soothed and restored. Cowshed’s products are suitable for vegetarians and contain certified organic ingredients.

Beau Jardin Lavender And Jasmine Hand Cream By Heathcote And Ivory

“A nourishing daily hand cream blended with the heavenly essential oils of Lavender and the scent of Jasmine to harmonise the senses.”

The creams in this article aren’t featured in any particular order but if I did have to choose only one that I would recommend, it would be this beauty.

Out of all of the moisturises that I have spoken about, this one is by far the richest and really leaves your hands feeling cared for.

It includes Vitamin E which acts as an anti-oxidant as well as featuring 15% Shea Butter. All the ingredients work together to create a hand cream that protects from everyday aggressions, leaves your hands feeling ridiculously soft and strengthens nails. It’s an absolute winner.

Green Tea Hand Cream By Elizabeth Arden

“Soothing emollients smooth and soften rough, weather exposed skin.”

In the winter months, a hand cream that reverses dryness and cracking is exactly what you need.

That’s what is so great about this nifty Elizabeth Arden creation. It contains Green Tea that leaves your hands smelling beautifully refreshed too. I’m a sucker for ingredients like that. They just seem to draw me in. Anything that sounds unusual or something that I haven’t tried before. Intrigue has lured me in to many a purchase my friends.

This particular cream isn’t too light and isn’t too thick either so if that is something that you’re after. Look no further.

This post feels a little bit different for me but I’ve really enjoyed talking about some of the products that I’m passionate about. Let me know if this is a style of post that you would like to see more of.

Happy Tuesday you legends.
