I always find the work spaces of writers so Inspiring. It’s the spot where they sit down to create. It’s where the magic happens.
Seeing as I have given my space a bit of a jig around recently, I thought that I’d put together a little work space tour for anyone like me who finds this sort of thing really interesting.
The moment that I first saw this desk, I absolutely fell in love with it. The amount of storage is has, the mirror (oh the mirror) and also the tone of the wood.
I’m quite picky when it comes to furniture because my space is relatively small. Having said that, I knew that I wanted this 70s inspired beauty from the offset. When I then stumbled across it’s £15 price tag, I was well and truly sold.
For me, this desk doubles up as a dressing table because I’m all about making the most out of any furniture that I have. It does have a few scratches and scuffs but that honestly doesn’t bother me at all.
On the desk I like to keep everything that I use regularly. My diary is one of the first things that I reach for when I wake up so I like to keep that where I can see it. Then there’s also some scissors that I use for creating mood boards when I’m in need of a little boost of inspiration.
Candles are really calming so its always nice to have a few lit whilst you’re working. I probably have a few too many but can you ever really have enough candles?
On the opposite side of the desk, I have a vintage camera, a few of my favourite books and a little glass dish that I use to store some smaller pieces of jewellery.
It took me a while to learn that your space doesn’t have to look as though you have stepped into something directly off of Pinterest, and I am definitely someone who likes my space to look lived in.
I took some time away from blogging recently because I was beginning to feel really uninspired. Having said that, It feels great to be back : )
I’m still enjoying taking time out for myself but I’ll be back soon and with a trip to Paris coming over the horizon, I’m hoping to come back with some really great content.
Thanks for reading today’s post guys ❤
